I received my 27 inch Imac this morning. After unpacking I noticed a small crack in the corner of the screen. Before I call Apple I would like to know if anyone else needed to return their Imac. Do I have to return this unit, wait for them to receive it, and than get a replacement sent to me? Do I have to purchase another one if I want it soon and than ship the defective one back? It is the model with the 768 flash drive so I know no Apple stores carry this. Thank you.

Call Apple. See if they let you keep the damaged unit to use (assuming it's operational) until the new one arrives. Then you can ship the defective one back to them.

I returned my first 27". They would not ship the new one until they saw the one I had was on the way back to them.
