iPhone 11 Return Preorder Phone...

I ordered the IP11 on preorder day for delivery today. Due to circumstances unrelated to the phone, I'm thinging of returning it unopened. It will be delivered by UPS. Can I return it to any Apple store or do I have to mail it back.

It will be registered to me with a new sim card and wondering how that will be corrected as well in regards to my present IP6S, presently using the same number?

Yes, if you ordered from Apple you can bring it in to the store for a return. I think this would be the quickest method if there's a store close by. Otherwise maybe you can get a label from Apple, or refuse the delivery and UPS will return to sender.

The new sim card shouldn't activate until you activate the new phone. Contact your carrier if you have any problems.

What if you bought one from a carrier? Can it be returned to Apple or carrier? I know. Stupid question lol but had to ask it for confirmation

Return it to the carrier.
