I upgraded my XR to an 11 - got the 11 on release day, and haven't gotten any information on how to return my XR. Doesn't that have to be done within a specific amount of time to not be charged?

Has anyone done this? How did you turn yours in? I would've expected a box/label to return my phone.

Yes. There should be a return label and instructions.

I'd call them and let them know you didn't get that.

This is the reason I am switching over to the Apple upgrade program this year. Two years ago when we had to trade in our 8's for the iPhone X it was a disaster mailing our phones back in. I mailed our phones in, could see that they had arrived at AT&T's warehouse, via tracking the tracking number, in Texas and AT&T continued to charge me for my old phone (that they had in their possession) and my new upgraded phone for three months before it got sorted out. AT&T's response was that there is sometimes "lag" in their computing system. It took me another three months before they credited my account for the three months they charged me for my old, traded in phones (did I mention that those phones they were charging me for were in their possession?). Never again. AT&T's upgrade system is a nightmare. I followed everything they told me to do EXACTLY and they even admitted that it wasn't my fault. They just said it happens sometimes.

Same. The return label they sent me last year was for the NEW phone, in case I needed to return it, not for the trade-in. That phone sat in a warehouse and I had to really be persistent to make sure it all shook out in my favor in the end. Due to another issue, this year will be the last time I do an online order with ATT as well. I'll be switching over to the Apple upgrade program next time.

Yeah dealing with them always gives me a migraine. They are the WORST. We just really don't have a viable option where we live, which is sad.

They emailed me a label already, and she SAID she noted in the account that the label was sent, but I'll be tracking it, and also checking my bills.

And yeah I ALMOST went back to the Apple upgrade plan, but I really like all my phone stuff being on the same bill. If they don't handle this well though, it'll be the last upgrade I do with them.

Just go to a att corporate store and turn it in. That’s what I have done. I have never had a issue.
