I all of a sudden need an additional MacBook by next Wednesday at the latest, and I can get a refurbished one directly at the Apple Store here in Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday Apple will be announcing some things, including hopefully an update to the MacBook Air.

What is Apple’s return policy on refurbished machines?

If there are new MacBook Airs announced and I can buy one on Wednesday that would be ideal, but in the more likely scenario that they’re not available to buy for a few weeks, will I be able to return the refurbished one in exchange for a new one?

Normally I’d simply wait and see, but like I say I need an additional MacBook by Wednesday, there’s no possibility to postpone it later ?

I was just taking a peek at a refurbished MacBook Air online myself; it shows that it covered by Apple's 15 day return policy (I'm in Canada).
It looks like 14 day return policy in Germany.

Perfect, thank you. Wednesday morning on the way to work shall be exciting for me, either the refurbished 2020 MacBook Air or a brand new 2022 model ?

So no 2022 MacBook Air just yet, I look forward to picking up my M1 tomorrow morning.
