Hi,

My brother kindly bought me an iPod shuffle 2GB that he thought I'd use at the gym. I have an iPhone 4 though and have no problems using that when I'm working out.

I opened the shuffle and used it once before deciding I probably wouldn't get much use out of it.

Can I return it to the Apple store for store credit? I have the email receipt he emailed me and he bought it in my local store when he was visiting (he lives out of town). He told me to just try and buy myself something else, it's about $60 value I guess

MY advice is to go into the store and tell them exactly this and they will certainly help you out

^ Yep. If you go in with a lie, chances are they'll say no.

The fact that, "hey, I got this new thing as a gift and I won't use it, can I take it back? Here's the receipt" sound logical and something that actually happens, I don't think they'll say no.
