So we noticed that on my sister's 6 month old iphone has dead pixels on the back camera this weekend, since the apple store is close by we took it in and see if we can replace it. The genius said that it was still under warranty and will be able to give us another phone. We didn't take him up on his offer just yet because we wanted to go home and back it up first before handing it in. My question is that since she didn't notice the dead pixel until now and it is not really a big deal in her eyes, if we waited until the iphone 5 comes out to return it would they give us that iphone 5 model or would we have to settle for a iphone 4 or even a referbished one?

Hell no you're not getting the newer model obviously.
And no you're not settling, you're getting the same exact model, color and GB storage as you have now.
