I am returning a T-Mobile iPad air to the local Apple store. Should I keep the SIM card I activated on T-mobile for the free 200MB, or leave it in the air when I return it?

I am not asking to steal anything. I just don't want my information leaked/given to someone else. If they wipe/discard the card, that is fine with me. As long as someone else doesn't end up getting my info, and racking up a bill to my name.

Thank you!

Will they deny the return if I keep the card?

I would contact your carrier and see how they want you to handle it. Or even ask the Apple store. They surely must have dealt with this before. I would advise against withholding the SIM card when you return it.

Take the SIM card out and keep it (at least if you purchased it from the Apple store)

From Apple - What to do when you return or send your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in for service

If you're going to return your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch or send it in for repair or service, be sure to follow the steps below to ensure the best experience.

6. If your iPhone or iPad has a SIM card, remove the SIM card.

You can keep it.

Apple doesn't care if you leave a SIM in there or not when you return it.

Thank you! Especially for the link to the Apple site. :)
