Returning official Apple clear case for iPhone XR

Hi,

I bought an iPhone XR clear case for someone from Apple as a gift, anyway they have used it on their phone for 1 day and decided that it’s not for them, and asked if I can get a refund and give them the money, so I’ve agreed I will, I know Apple refund silicone iPhone cases but will they refund iPhone XR clear cases which have been opened? Thanks
