Hi, I have problem with my MacBook 1.1 (Intel Core Duo T2500 variant, non 64-bit CPU
). My friends gave me this notebook for free several weeks ago, but it was with only with 512 MB RAM and the OS X (10.6.8) was working awful. So, I decided to get rid out of it, but what had I did ? I made dmg image of the hard disc and uploaded it to the cloud and everything seemed to be OK with restoring OS X later. Next, I installed Windows 7... But a few days ago I bought 2 GB RAM (soon more), so I decided to get back OS X. When I saw it didn't booted from usb flash drives I putted up notebook's hdd to my desktop PC (who is with hackintosh and Windows 7 x86, Dual Boot) to restore back created before dmg file of my entire OS. That's ok, but when i clicked Restore in Disk Utility I got message "this image is not verified" (something like this), so I began to read in forums, on many of them it was said to check image by Image (Top menu) > Verify/Check image, I did it - nothing changed. That's ok, I don't have important files on this archive, I just want to get back my OS X. In next days I tried many ways, downloaded almost every OS X 10.7 or 10.6 image on torrent sites (I downloaded almost 400 GB !), some were iso => go to DVD disk, don't want to boot, if was dmg => restore from Disk Utility or Win32Image, but NO...
Can someone help me, I don't have Mac Recovery Disk, I also can not find DVD Dual Layer (8 GB) disk in my region, so I'm stuck only with Single Layer 4.7 GB DVD Disks. Thanks and sorry for my bad English.
I'm very new in this "Mac things", so I'm "newborn noob".
