Returning refurb 8GB iphone???

So Friday I signed my wife up for an iphone online with the 8GB refurbished $99 dollar one. I don't get it till tomorrow but can I use it and then return it and spend another $100 for the 16GB 3GS phone or should I not even use it at all, return it and wait a month???

yeah true but i wonder if there is gonna be lines and crap cause I don't wanna have to deal with all that and my wife has been eagerly awaiting for an iphone
