i bought a iphone from verizon on may 8 i was thinking since i am going to india this summer and won't be really using it there that i could return it within 30 days of buying the phone. would that give me all the money back and the upgrade back? i was thinking about returning it on june 7 or whatever and buying the iphone 5 for when i came back on upgrade price (200$) would there be any problems? thank you

They only refund the upgrade fee if you return it within three days. They'll also charge you a 20% restocking fee to return the phone. If you return it you will be given your upgrade eligibility back.
 
so if i return within 30 days i will get my 200 dollars back, have to pay a restocking fee. and i will have a upgrade?

They were waived for iPhones purchased from the Apple store. Since you purchased it from Verizon you have to return it to Verizon. Frankly I believe you need to suck it up and just pay the restocking fee. You're kind of cheating the system.

cheating a system that cheats us 300 times worse? how else do you believe they make 50 billions of dollars in profit? lol well not to argue with you, you are correct i am cheating the system but hey... thank you for your quick replies
 
iPhone 5? June? Unconfirmed. Some are saying the iPhone 4S is supposed to come out. Others say the next phone isn't supposed to come out for another months. Either way there is nothing pointing to june.

yes im fully aware nothing points to june. im going to be on vacation until begining september. a 20 percent restocking fee is redic thats close to 43 dollars. i have to rethink this lol
 
It is a $35 restocking fee, but my 2c, if you're really sweating $43, you probably should be focused on saving money period vs springing for an iPhone plus the almost $100 monthly bill.
