Hi all,

I've just upgraded the RAM in my mid-2010 MBP (2.4C2D), MC374LL/A from 4 to 8GB.

I'd like to use the old RAM from mine to upgrade my Dad's White MacBook (mid-2010), 2.4C2D MC516LL/A and wanted to check the compatibility.

The RAM came from Crucial and judging by the spec, *should* work, the only difference being the voltage (MBP = 1.5v, wMB = 1.35v).

Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks.

Nothing to worry, it should work. Ram may get a little hotter but will not cause any difference in either performance or reliability.

Thanks.

It actually looks like they're both 1.5v - I had 2 tabs open to the Crucial site for comparison, although one was the US and one the UK site.

I'll give it a try and keep my fingers crossed :)
