I am not a noob, nor a troll. I forgot my login, so please excuse me while I dust off my soap box. I am not here to pick sides on today's iPhone discussion, but rather point out some tidbits I gleaned from the press event, and stuff Apple has released.
Why would Jobs refer to the AT&T data for returns and satisfaction? It might be their biggest reseller, but clearly the Apple Stores sell more directly, and have access to all that data showing how much people want to bail. Plus, AT&T had problems from the get-go, and was delayed in selling units after the launch date.
Jobs mentioned in the Q&A portion that there were both Verizon and AT&T cell towers on site. This gives me hope that there is a Verizon iPhone on the horizon.
Looking at my bumper today, and could not help but notice that the metal buttons seem to be a statement admitting that the case is a necessity, and a true extension of the hardware. The extra layer really should have been developed INTO the phone.
I love the fact that in the test lab, they use rubber bands to secure the iPhone for tests. Pig on lipstick.
Love or hate anything related to the company Apple, you must admit it is interesting to watch their team build mountains or dig themselves out of holes. I tend to think both sides have made a mountain out of a mole hill.
