I was wondering if there's any way I could make my phone think my WiFi connection is actually a 3G connection?

I want to test out an app that for some reason works well on 3G and doesn't work at all on WiFi.

Never heard of such a thing.

What app?

Netflix is like that for me on WiFi using Clear 4G internet, it will never start streaming with the default DNS server so I need to set it to use Google's DNS of 8.8.8.8 (hit the blue arrow on the wifi you're connected to in order to change its settings) and then it will work fine, same thing on my Apple TV 2G but then streaming on iTunes takes forever so I have to keep switching, is kind of annoying.
