Revert to old Invert Colors

What ding dong at apple decided to do "smart" invert colors.

I think it's a sort of prelude to the dark theme, but I don't like it. I like to use invert colors to look at photo negatives, and the one thing it does is not invert photos. It's also slow and if abused will break the graphics.

Is there some command to bring back the old invert colors function? I don't see any option in the settings.

Should add, this is for High Sierra.

As I said. This gives me the new "smart" invert colors. I want the entire invert colors functionality from before High Sierra.
