Reverting back using a PC

Fellas I would like to revert back to ios 6 from ios7 before they close out. Following all instructions but having a problem extracting the ispw file from the dmg file. It is asking for a password. I have used multiple programs 7zip, dmgextractor, hsfexplorer and many more. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help

Have you tried getting the IPSW from somewhere else? I'm on PC and I just downloaded the file, shift clicked Check for Update etc. and it all worked fine. No need for conversion (for me anyway.)

I got it thank you. Had to find the actual ipsw file. Finally did.
