When I originally saw a charger for the Airpod charger, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. So when I was offered the opportunity to review one, I thought...sure. Why not.
I got the Oittm charging station. Link to Amazon - $21.99. It doesn't look like anything special.
The thing I discovered, though, is that I'm far more likely to charge my Airpods if I have a dedicated spot for them - and not just an extra charging cord.
The airpod case is way too easy to just leave around. I like having a dedicated spot for it. It's nice having the light to notify you when the case is charged. Granted, the new case will have this, but how many of you are going to buy a new case?
So your choice is $65 for a new Airpod case or $22 for a charging dock.
