Hello guys,

I was sent one of these little FM transmitters so I decided to share my experience here for any other iPhone users with older vehicles without Audio Jack/USB/Bluetooth.

It was tested on a 2009 Venza that has bluetooth but no music/multimedia support (just voice calls).

Bluetooth is by far the easiest and most convenient way to consume media in the car. With this device, from the moment you start the engine, your phone automatically connects to the bluetooth signal generated by the transmitter. This allows me to continue listening to whatever I was listening to on my AirPods before getting in my car. Quality is not bad at all, and while I think it's not as "clean" as the native audio jack of a stereo, it is still way more than decent for general listening.

The app that they advertise with this gadget is also pretty interesting. While the vehicle is connected to bluetooth, the app keeps track of the vehicle's GPS location. When you disconnect, it remembers that last location to later help you locate your parking location.

Lastly, the transmitter comes with 2 powerful USB ports to fast charge your iPhone and someone else's. As you can see below, the output is almost 4A which I'm guessing is divided by 2 (2A each port).

Overall I am pretty satisfied and I can easily recommend it to anyone in need of a wireless solution for older vehicles.

Update after more than 1 year of use:

Still works, no issues at all!
Audiophiles might be dissatisfied with the quality, but I find it more than acceptable. The two usb ports that this little gadget sports leaves my phone ready to go even in 20 minute rides, which more than makes up for the small audio quality discrepancy. I'm more than satisfied!
