This slider style case is similar to most slider cases in which you slide your phone into the larger section then pop on the bottom piece. The one I reviewed was the gloss white version which is very slippery on the sides. The replaceable back inserts are very slick and very easy to swap.

What kind of protection does this offer? It should absorb hits pretty well as the case is pretty rigid on the outside and on the inside, it has a strip of a softer rubber that runs from the top of the case to the bottom where you pop on the small lower piece. Also, the inner sides that mate to the metallic ring on the phone, are covered in this same softer rubber which should help buffer impact to the phone when it is dropped. The front provides a lip above the phone does have lay-on-the-table design The volume buttons and sleep/wake button are not covered.

The case does have some size to it, similar to the bodyglove slider case. The headphone jack cutout is oversized so you should be able to fit most headphone plugs without a problem. The 30 pin jack is oversized so most aftermarket cables should work. The version I am reviewing will fit both the iPhone 4 and 4S due to the one large opening for the volume buttons and the vibrate switch.

The cutouts are precise and the quality is pretty nice if you like slider type cases. I will note that I have side skin wraps as well as SGP crystal shields on the front and back. The case DID bubble my screen shield when it was installed and it was a very very tight fit with the side skins on. In fact, I was not able to get the bottom piece to fully snap on due to my side skins and this is why it appears the case is not installed all the way. I suspect there would not be an issue without side skins. I am pretty sure that most screen shields won't work without being bubbled and that is why they include a screen shield that is optimized for this case. It is a rubbery urethane style shield and not a crystal.

Overall I would recommend this case if you prefer slider cases. They can be purchased here: http://www.bodyguardz.com/mykase-fo...e-protection.html?dir=asc&order=sort_priority
for $29.95 without a screen shield and $34.95 with the optimized screen shield. It is available in gloss white and matte back which include 2 extra back colors. As discussed, the mykase comes with 1 dry apply soft rubber style screen shield. Thanks for reading.
