I have purchased several iPad sleeves over the years, and the Herschel Anchor Sleeve is certainly one of my favorites, but is not 100% perfect. The sleeve itself looks fantastic, feels sturdy on the outside, and has a soft and silky feel on the inside, but the fit is a little snug and may not "fit" your needs.
The outside is 100% polyester and causes the sleeve to feel like it exudes protective power. I was quite surprised at how rigid and flexible it felt in all the right ways. What was even more impressive than the feel of the sleeve, was the actual look of it. They have done a tremendous job at making this product look like an expensive sleeve built for fashion. If you have a gold iPad Air/ Air 2, then this sleeve is the perfect complement to it. Just look at the images provided...how good does that look? A++ on that front.
The fleece lining on the interior of the sleeve feels premium, looks great with the candy cane accents around the zipper, and is perfect for keeping your iPad beautiful all around. You won't have to worry about gaining small scratches, smudges, or signs of wear from the inside of this sleeve, and I bet you'll find yourself just simply rubbing the interior. No seriously, you will.
If you just have an iPad and nothing else, this sleeve is absolutely perfect...5 stars...look nowhere else...but, if you have an Apple Smart Cover, case, keyboard, or any accessories (cables, dongles etc.) that you'd like to store within the case as well, you may want to find something a little larger and more practical. As you can see in one of the photos I took, even with just an Apple Smart Cover attached to the iPad Air 2, the fit becomes extremely tight. It becomes difficult to zip it around the corners, and you have to push the iPad in with a little force while slightly lifting the zipper to make sure that you miss the corners of the iPad. There has not been any wear marks or scuffs that have shown up on the iPad yet, and I am hoping that it stays that way, but the sleeve is just a little bit too tight when there is more than just the iPad inside of it for me to call it a perfect fit. It also has no extra pouch or room for any other accessories, which is fine, but not the most practical sleeve in the world.

Overall, I have been highly impressed with this sleeve so far and will continue to use it as my daily source of protection and storage for my iPad Air 2. If you are looking for a fashionable, sturdy, and snug iPad Air/Air 2 sleeve, then this is your product.

I have one too and my iPad Air 2 with Smart Cover fits nicely. It isn't tight as there is a bit of room but not too much to make it move around in the sleeve (which is exactly what you want). It may work with some cases that are rather thing but I think the fit will be really tight if you can still zip it up.

Once in there it is fantastic. I love that the iPad won't move around much while inside, but it definitely requires some force to make sure it gets in there. You just need to be aware that it requires some attention and it's fine. No huge deal

There is no force with mine at all. If I hold the sleeve upright and insert the iPad (with Smart Cover) it will simply drop in it. Horizontally it just slides in smoothly. In both cases it doesn't take more than a second. Could be that yours has a tighter fit (just like with clothes, not everything is the exact same size).

I'm only talking about when zipping the sleeve up with iPad + cover already inside. That's fantastic that yours works perfectly, we are loving it as well. I was simply pointing that out about it.

Yup, just wanted to add that things might be different for others. Never really thought about it but it is quite logical as this is just like any other fabric. Sizes can differ.

Either way, they did a great job with this product, and I found it to a high quality purchase at an affordable price. Cant beat that lol.
