Hi guys! I just wanted to post a quick review of the iLoome ScreenMate 2nd Gen for the 6 Plus. I posted some of this content in the main iLoome ScreenMate thread, but got a request to put it in a separate thread for visibility, so here we go.

The ScreenMate 2nd Gen is one of my favorite tempered glass screen protectors. Install was extremely easy and any resulting bubbles were very quick to remove. The ScreenMate has fit with every case I've tried so far: Griffin Survivor Core, Speck CandyShell Grip, Thule Atmos X4 (minus its own integrated screen protector), Thule Atmos X3, UAG Valkyrie, Tech21 Classic Shell Wallet, Magpul Field Case, Spigen Tough Armor and Zoogue Social Pro. It almost looks edge to edge in some of the cases, because the case sides are so close to the edges of the screen protector. The oleophobic coating seems top notch and the screen feel and clarity are outstanding. Here are some pics and my YouTube videos: I did separate ones for the install and the overall review:

Thanks!

Thank you for your review.

I think it is important to mention how thick it is, for comparison and what colors are available.
Further, it looks like dust could accumulate between the protector and the screen.
What made the application "easy"? I don't see any applicator, so it is just as hard to apply as any other protector. And don't forget that you might be much more used to apply SP as you applied quite a lot.

Thanks for your reply. The iLoome ScreenMate 2nd Gen is available in black and white. The thickness is mentioned in the video, I believe, but it is .33mm thick.

As far as dust is concerned, I've seen dust accumulate under each and every tempered screen protector that I have installed, except possibly for the Zagg Glass that I started out with. I don't think it had dust under the edges, but it was extremely case friendly and didn't venture into curved glass territory at all.

You are right that practice makes perfect, to some extent. I do have more experience than many people in applying screen protectors because I have put on quite a few, by this point. What I found easy about applying the iLoome is that it was easy to line up and the adhesive worked very well. There were very few bubbles and they were easy to get rid of. The iLoome does not come with an applicator, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Some applicators make things more difficult, in my opinion. I particularly despise the one for the BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz, for example. Aegis 3D had a pretty nice one, in contrast.

Hope this helps!

I just wanted to express my thanks for the high-quality videos you produce on YouTube. Your reviews are very descriptive and informative, truly "hands-on" and my first go-to place when I'm looking for iPhone cases and screen protectors.

Please do keep up the wonderful work!

Thanks so much! You've made my day!

Thank you for great reviews! I ordered white for iPhone 6 plus and it's a very good product.
Cut outs are very precise, glass feels nice, transparency great and case compatibility is a bonus! With Spigen ultra hybrid looks as a full edge to edge!
But, there is always a but, transparent part of SP is actually smaller than screen, not much it's a fraction of mm and can be best seen on a dark screen. It's visible even when screen is off!

Odd! You are talking about the 2nd generation ScreenMate, not the 1st, right? I certainly didn't notice that problem. Maybe it is an issue with the white and not the black? Or maybe you got a defective one? You should contact iLoome and ask about it...

Thanks!

I cannot seem to locate this screen protector any longer. Do you have any suggestions?
Don't bother to find the exactly same one. This one is pretty thick comparing to the most popular screen protectors and it doesn't have cut outs for front facing camera. I'll suggest you go with other brands, my Maxboost screen protector fits fine. And I get it for free from Maxboost VIPU reviewer program. Whenever I see people discussing which screen protector is better, I will suggest then to get a free one from Maxboost and test it out.

And how does one go about requesting a free one from Maxboost?
