Hi all .
as some of you may know i recently purchased a nice refurbished ipod shuffle 512mb (first gen !)
It arrived in great condition and smaller than expected . it feels like a simple usb drive but with a twist . its a mp3 player but without a screen.
And to those wishing to buy a refurbished ipod ... i can tell you this it came well packed , with all the instructions , itunes cd , headphones(which look brand new) and the extra usb cap thing for using the ipod shuffle round your neck (forget what it is called)
The ipod shuffle was in amazing condition ... not at all damaged or scratched.
Now to plug it into the computer:
My pc found it straight away with know troubles and the small ... invisable when off . bright led lit up orange. It immediatly auto filled it self within minutes...and a feature i would like to see on ipod nanos but back to the review. After transferring the songs which were random i managed to fit 134 songs on here with a few mb to spare. this makes me conclude that the 1 gig will hold about 260 songs which is not bad all considering. The ipod charged fully until the green led appeared cleary (this took about 2 or 3 hours). I then unplugged it and got ready to listen to it.
The quality was excellent and because there is no backlight or screen you cannot here the annoying buzzing or hissing noise other mp3 players make such as the creative zen nano. The quality is of the same standard as the other ipods which is not what i expected but it was truely great.
It fits in the pocket easily or can be worn round the neck.(but i dont intend to do that just yet). This means its perfect when in the gym running or doing weights and other activities. Much easier than using the other ipods as you do not need to constanting get a paper weight out of your pocket and fiddle with it .(i find it very irritating.)
I have included just a few pictures of how big and thick the ipod is ... also uncle bens rice just rulez !!!
haha steve jobs ... rice can be white too and rock !!!
To conclude i say well done apple for this marvelous little mp3 player.
