I've been using piel frama cinema case for overall weeks now and I love it! I was looking for a fine leather case with all the functionality of the apple case and the piel frama cinema delivers. It has an articulated back cover design that enables you to put it is typing mode or cinema mode. Both work very well, and unlike the apple case the piel frama case is thoroughly luxurious. The leather is very high quality and it is padded so it feels great in the hand. It's one of those things that just feels wonderful every time you use it.

It is also a great alternative to the vaja agenda case because you can order it from cases.com and get it overnight if you want, or you can order directly from piel frama in Spain and get it in twenty days rather than the long wait from vaja. It's cheaper too and in my experience piel frama is higher quality overall than vaja. And unlike vaja you can return it if you don't like it.

I love this case!

I'm really interested in the cinema case. Could you describe the typing mode and the more vertical viewing mode in more detail-if you can post pictures that would be great! I was interested in the other piel frama case but heard some reviewers say that it sagged in the typing mode and was at a lower angle than the Apple case.

The case articulates so that you can watch movies in one mode and type in another. For the movie mode the case props up against two square ridges and in fact it is much more stable than the apple case is in cinema mode. For typing mode you move the case down further and it rests in typing mode. In this mode it is very stable and does not compress at all the way the non-cinema version does. Also the angle is higher/steeper than the apple case so it is easier to type on overall.

Things are hectic at the moment but I will try to post some pictures later tonight!

I just received my Piel Frama Cinema case today and it really is stunning. However, I have two questions.

1. Does your case slip down a bit when you put it into typing or cinema mode? My does and I put a bit of double stick tape to hold it in better, but I wouldn't think you should need to do that.

2. For cinema viewing, while it it does stop at the ridges, at times it doesn't seem to hold firm and slips over the ridges. Does yours do that?

1. Yes and 2.yes. I'm very disappointed in this case. The quality of the leather is wonderful but the cinema viewing is annoying because of the slipping. I've gone back to using an inexpensive case I bought on Amazon around the house and when I go out I use the simply gorgeous BookBook case.

I really expected more and better from Piel Frama.

So does the double tape work? I agree, the case is awesome and luxurious, but the cinematic mode sucks. I didn't expect this out of a case with this price tag. I often get teased because my iPad keeps slipping down. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Piel Frama cinema case

The nicest case I have ever seen. Wonderful quality construction, very high quality leather and perfect fit. Feels great in your hand and offers exceptional protection. Cinema case has many viewing angles and looks awesome. I ordered red because the price was great. Turns out the red is beautiful. No way not to love this case.

This case looks really nice...can anyone speak to the weight of the case?

Sorry to bump this thread again, but does anyone else have this case and can you speak to the weight of the case? Overall, it's looks like the best case out there, in my opinion, but at $100+, I would like to see a few more opinions before buying it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I bought a PDAir leather case for my Ipad 2. Got it at cases.com. They make two types of cases. I got the version 1 which I like very much:

They also make a version 2 which is designed differently:

The quality of the leather and the workmanship is very good. The Ipad fits well, and the sleep/awake function works perfectly. With version 1 you have two types of prop-up angles (typing and viewing). They are both very stable. Don't have a version 2 so can't speak to the prop-up angles of that case.

Mine just came in today...like everyone else, I think the case is simply stunning, but the fact that it slips in cinema and typing mode is a deal breaker. Beautiful case, but not functional.
