The new iPad Air with the M3 chip launches Wednesday. Ahead of time, the first reviews of the device have been shared by select publications and YouTube channels.

As expected, the latest iPad Air is up to 20% faster than the previous-generation model with the M2 chip. In addition, the M3 chip brings hardware-accelerated ray tracing to the iPad Air for the first time, providing improved graphics rendering in games.

A new Magic Keyboard is available for the iPad Air. It features a larger trackpad, and function keys for display brightness, volume, and more.

That's it. It's a minor spec-bump year for the iPad Air.

Below, we have rounded up some of the reviews and unboxing videos for the new iPad Air, and the updated Magic Keyboard.

I guess that confirms no backlighting on the new keyboard, something the previous version has. Function keys were high on my wish list, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the backlight for them. I guess I'll stick with my current keyboard.

Who watches these things? They’re more third party ads for Apple devices than actual reviews. MacRumor’s short blurb in this article is more informative.
Best to treat these videos as entertainment, especially for the iPad, which most YouTubers still don’t get.

I hope they will give the smaller model the 11" panel from the 2018 Pro next time, it looks a bit awkward next to the bigger model which has the narrower bezel, and now the Pros are on OLED it's a big enough difference. The ProMotion would also be a bonus, again the Pro has enough of an edge with the HDR OLED panel that a nicer LCD in the Airs isn't going to step on their toes.

I hope all the updated products will be on display in their retail stores on Wednesday. I like to see what I’m buying before spending my money.

Zero external differences. Only the keyboard is different.

Just a note, that the iPad Air magic keyboard is not an upgrade at all. The trackpad is still the same diveboard mechanism that is not easy to click
