Color: White
Phone: iPhone 4 - White

I've always been a careful case shopper. After reading up on the reviews, I've decided to go with SGP Ultra Thin cases.

One of the reason is that it's because its thinness. Though not the thinnest case in the world, however, it's thin enough and sturdy enough to have decent protection without sacrificing the aesthetic of the phone.

Function & Form = WIN WIN Situation

However, there was one big concern: Will it fit the white iPhone 4?

After receiving the new white iPhone 4, no surprise, it's indeed thicker than my current black IP4. My current case on the IP4 (2 pieces case) wouldn't fight right (unknown case I'm using temporary). With common sense, if the 2 pieces case doesn't fit right, usually ultra thin snap on cases will have lesser chance of fitting properly.

However, Jason Lee from SGP was very helpful in sending me out a sample to test fit on the iPhone 4.

And here's the unboxing:

Very nice packaging:

Contents:

The Case:

Instruction Brochure:

Front Screen Protector - Good Quality

Logo Protector - Good Quality

Mini Lens Hood - Nice that they include these but they're a tiny smaller than the camera lens. I decide not to use these.

Cleaning Cloth

The Phone:

Installed Pictures:

Conclusion:

To my surprise, the case quality is very nice. It has a nice back padding to prevent any scratch to the back of the IP4 glass. No sharp edges. It fits nicely onto the white iPhone 4. Snug fit, easy access to all ports and buttons, and really compliment the aesthetic look of the phone. It's even iPhone "facedown" friendly. Even though the pictures were taken with the iPhone 4 camera, I think the pictures speak for the case quality itself.

Score: 10/10 for what it does. Function & Form

Thanks: Big thanks goes out to Jason Lee from SGP for prompt communication, fast shipping & good packaging.

Good review. Nice looking case also. You said it was tight going in so no body decals will fit I wonder? Also does the case lift the screen off the table any? The pics make it look like it might.

Not asking you to drop the phone.... but how do you feel about the protection factor on accidental drops?

It fits very well and not hard going in. It's also "facedown" friendly.

To be honest, I can't really say much about drop test. I think it'll give a decent protection when you accidentally drop it. About the same as any other bumper cases.

It's definitely a lot better than those others ultra thin cases.

But compare to other cases that's made for FULL protection (bulky cases), it won't be as good because it doesn't have a lot of padding.

You can visit their website for the Video about the "step on" test of the case.

it looks very good. how easy are the volume buttons to press, they look sunkin in from the case. still clean and sleek none the less.

I really liked it myself. One of my favorite simple back snap-on covers.

woah, now that looks clean. might be switching from the bumper to this. hows the protection on the bottom and tops?

I don't have fat fingers so they're very accessible, no problem here. :D

Looks good

They're exposed like in the pics so no protection if shoved in the pockets (or purses) with the keys and such.

But I rather have this design because it reveals the aluminum part of the iphone, of which, IMO, makes the IP4 look the best. :)

I purchased the SGP Steinhell Ultra Crystal full body protection and it has small strips of crystal clear rubberized protector for the aluminum sides... pain in the ASS to put on but works great.. if you cut a TINY bit of it.. you can install it on the aluminum top and bottom... those parts will continue to look naked but will be protected... adding that last bit of protection makes this case PERFECT in my opinion...

The SGP Ultra Thin case has been on my iP4 longest of all the cases I've had. Definitely my favorite.

Good Idea :)

Still durable I suppose?

Looks cool! SGP's cases are always cool :)

Yea, I'm taking a liking to this case very much :)

Still durable I suppose?

Yep... Been my only case since November/December. It looks like it actually has one scratch on the back, but otherwise it has no blemishes, discoloration, or other wear and tear.
