Verus Titanium Silver
Serviceable with the standout problem of replacing all my nice black Amazon lightning cables with stock white Apple in three cars, next to my recliner in man cave, @ desk, in travel bag, on nightstand. etc..etc.. Kind of annoyed about this. They really buried the mute switch too.
Pros:
- Inner rubber layer fits better than Spigen. No sagging.
- Metal rail isn't as tight, makes removal easier.
Cons:
- Doesn't accept Amazon charge cable.
- Really have to dig your fingernail in to get the mute switch to move.
The switch is recessed pretty far. I have no finger nails and can still reach it, but it's not tactile and really not a one handed affair.
No go on the Amazon cable. Doesn't snap in. Didn't try Apple cable but I'll assume it works fine or they're going to have a real big problem on their hands.
Back looks good. Rubber is tight around the logo. No sagging like Spigen. Branding is subdued.
Spigen Fit Series Thin Fit
Not much to say about this one. Typical snap on rubberized case. Fits nice, all ports are easily accessible. Minimal impact in aesthetic of the phone. Also minimal protection.
Pros:
- Simple on off
- Easy access to controls/ports
- Keeps the phone nice and slim
Cons:
- Minimal protection (really, just prevents scratches on back and keeps it off the camera lens if you lay it on its back.
I'll let the pictures do the talking for this one.
No problems with Amazon lightning cable.
Spigen Neo Hybrid Space Gray
I'm disappointed with this case and will send it back. The metal frame is really tight and the rubber back sags around the Apple logo. It's just not a good fit and it's not good enough for the phone. Buttons are ok, not great. I have to hunt for the power button where on the Verus it's got a pretty positive and easy feel.
Pros:
- Amazon lightning cable works
- Probably the more luxurious and high-end looking of the three
- Protection on-par with Verus. Wouldn't expect much difference between the two on this point.
Cons:
- Rubber on the back SAGS! Not cool Spigen. You should know your audience better. This case made it on my phone long enough to get a few pics and right back off it went.
- Metal frame is just a little too tight for my liking.
- Buttons feel a little mushy compared to Verus.
Might be hard to make out, but the shadow at the 2 o'clock position above the Apple logo is a gap.
I'm pressing down on the top of the opening and you can see that shadow go away.
And there, it's back when I let go. Low rent.
Amazon cable fits though.
Hope this helps. Fire away.
