Review of TechArmor 6 FOOT (Black) Lighting USB Cable

UPDATE!!: I ordered two more cables and for some reason they changed the design slightly making the lightning connector end slightly wider. THIS NO LONGER FITS LIFEPROOF CASES! I am attempting to get ahold of TechArmor to see what the issue is and if it cannot resolved I'll be returning.

Packaging:

The product was sent in a yellow padded envelope and inside was the lighting cable in a cardboard box (see photos). For what the product is I thought that this was a very nice job on packaging and was very impressed. The normal greeting materials are inside along with the lifetime warranty card.

Lightning Cable:

When opening the box the cable is shipped in you’ll find the cord to be coiled and twist ties securing in place. I was very happy with the quality and thickness of the cable when I took it out of the box and actually held it in my hand. IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE APPLE CABLE especially for the price. Once you hold it in your hand you will immediately notice that it is a much better quality cable and thicker all around. Also the cable comes with a LIFETIME warranty which is also worth mentioning. I reached out to a rep and was told that if the cable falls apart they will cover it and send you a replacement (don't quote me though). If you have any questions regarding warranty guidelines please contact them they were more than happy to assist me.

To save an extra 15% off use coupon code TAHOLODAY for 15% off your order. This code does expired on January 31st though.

Below is another review from a forum member:

The 6ft Tech Armor lightning cable is back in stock on amazon!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EH8ELNI?&vs=1&vs=1&vs=1&vs=1&vs=1&vs=1

My review:

The Tech Armor 6ft Lightning is one of the highest quality cables I have. The actual cable is thicker than most others. It is thicker than AmazonBasic's lightning cable. This cable is Apple Certified and works with iOS 7. There are no errors that come up when using this cable. The cable works with my iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5. The packaging is like Amazon's frustration free packaging. The cable is a great replacement. One thing I wish is that the cable would cost about $12. If it is that price this cable will sell very quickly. AmazonBasic's lightning cable is cheaper but this one has a thicker cable which I prefer.

I recommend this product to those who need a longer cable and one that has a thicker cable than others.

Review of the 2ft white Lightning cable from Tech Armor:

The Tech Armor 2ft Lightning is one of the highest quality cables I have. The actual cable is about the same thickness of most others. This cable is Apple Certified and works with iOS 7. There are no errors that come up when using this cable. The cable works with my iPhone 5, iPod touch 5 and iPad Air. The packaging is like Amazon's frustration free packaging. This cable makes a great replacement but may be too short for most. One thing I wish is that the cable would cost about $12. If it is that price this cable will sell very quickly. I recommend this product to those who need a short lightning cable.

BUMP: Today is the last day for 15% off using coupon code "TAHOLIDAY". Just an FYI for those going to purchase; apparently the coupon code only works for 1 individual item so if you buy 2 cables the coupon code will only take 15% off one of them (not sure why and I can't seem to get an answer). Also if your gonna try and be slick like me and make two separate orders (if you try to the same day) it'll automatically update the first order and add a second cable but only give you the discount for 1 cable still for some reason.

You might want to change your title and OP.

I assume you know the difference between inches and feet. ;)

Wow thank you I didn't even notice that. I changed it in the OP but unfortunately I can't change the title from the app.

No problem. I believe when you edit if you go into the advanced edit you can change the title. No biggie though. I was just given you a hard time. ;)

Awesome thank you!

Also it comes with a piece of Velcro as seen in the pic:

I hope you like it.
I'm using it with this:

Review: TechArmor 6in. Lightning Cable (Black)

[UPDATE 2/17/14] There appears to have been some type of manufacturing defect as far as the plastic on the connectors ends being slightly wider than the cable I had originally done the review on. I am currently working with TechArmor to resolve the issue but for now unless you shave the sides down some THIS WILL NOT FIT LIFEPROOF OR OTTERBOX CASES! I will post up once I have received additional information.

Top is reviewed cable

Bottom is cables I purchased separately.

Review: TechArmor 6in. Lightning Cable (Black)

[UPDATE 2/20/14] Got work back from the senior product manager at TA and this was his reply;

"Thanks for letting us know about this. I am addressing it with our vendors and we may actually move to a new vendor to get higher quality and maintain better standards".

To me that says a lot about a company that knows it has an issue (that they are aware of) and is taking the necessary steps to fix the problem.

I will update when I find out about the size issue between the old and current cables and if they will have some type of replacement or not.

Sand it down to fit.

got ours in descent delivery and everybody that uses it in the house are happy with the build quality. Charges fast, no issues at all with her Otterbox case either...

Yes it does charge pretty fast. Some of my friends at work that have used the cable have stated the same thing. Great product and mine are still holding up very very well.
