Hi all,

When revising for IT exams I typically use PDFs as my main resource, I also compile notes from these PDFs based on highlighted text for further revision.

Is it possible to highlight passages of text in a PDF and then extract those highlighted sections into a new document, automatically?

Thanks.

It depends what application you have. If you have Adobe Writer then yes, Adobe Reader then no. However, I have owned previous version of Adobe Writer and find it to be very robust and full of hassle. It's a resource hog that crashes often. Even having a version of Writer here with me now, I am highly considering the highly recommended PDF Pen as my next purchase.

With PDF Pen you can do what you need to do with PDFs.

Nice one, I'll check out PDF Pen.

A solution for this problem combined with the forthcoming Tablet (hopefully) should prove an ideal combination for doing revision.

Thanks.

You're better off projecting adobe will figure out how to give you full pdf support without being dog slow than you are in getting a tablet anytime in the next couple of quarters. ;)
