i went to the apple store today and i asked them what is the latest serial number they have and it was a week 26 and he said it was a revision 2. so you think i willl have any discoloration problems? he also said it dont have any heat issues ether.

any truth? or arrogant apple employee?

In the About This Mac section, it will say Macbook X,X where the X stands for the revision number. I doubt that they would have those on the floor, however, so it doesn't really help with your question.

There hasn't been a consensus (that I've seen) as to the cause of the discoloration. I wonder if Apple has had enough time to address the issue and correct the materials used? It doesn't seem like they have had enough time, but only Apple knows whether the discoloration was the result of a simple problem with the materials or not.
