I am just looking for some advice as to whether I should go ahead and buy this black macbook from a seller on ebay. It was originally listed for £500 but I have talked them down to £415.

Its a rev. B, standard specs (2ghz core 2 duo, 1gb ram etc). £415 includes a tuscano sleeve and the standard accessories (power cable etc)

I don't have much info about the condition of the laptop but I will go and see it in person before handing any money over so I will be able to make sure that it is physically ok.

Any thoughts anyone? is this a fair price?

get your idea from mac2sell.net. quite a nice tool for valuation purposes

I have to disagree on that one. Your best bet for current market value is to look at recently completed auctions on ebay. You can not only compare the base specs of the machine, but you can also factor in things like condition and accessories (mac2sell does not).
