I just picked up an old Quicksilver 933 and would like to beef up the storage. It currently has 2 HHD's on the ATA bus and I want to add a 3rd to the optical bus. So far I had 2 results. 1st was 2 HD icons one functional and one dead. HD was functional but superdrive was not recognized. 2nd result both drives unrecognized. Could someone point me to detailed instructions on setting this up properly without buying a PCI adapter. If you try to instruct me please bear with me new to this slave/master stuff.

I'm gonna say make your boot drive (with the OS) a master drive. Make the rest slave drives. Its all different for every drive, but if you can't figure it out post pictures of your label and jumpers on each drive.

Thanks for the reply furball, I finally figured it out. I just removed the jumper altogether. Not sure what mode that puts it into but it worked.
