I’m surprised that there aren’t any posts about this case. Having been using an Apple leather case (which I absolutely love) on my 13 Pro, I decided to opt for something more protective, yet slim. I tried the Lifeproof Next, which added a lot of bulk around the sides. After watching a couple of dozen of case review videos, I finally settled on the Rhinoshield Solidsuit. I used this case with several prior phones and liked it quite a bit. Sure, there is that one drawback that may be a turnoff to a lot of people - the lack of MagSafe. I don’t use any MagSafe accessories and use a Qi wireless charger. The case will be delivered on Tuesday, so I’ll update this post with photos and my initial thoughts.

Next time search for “SlipperySuit” and you’ll find all kinds of posts about Rhinoshield :p Good cases, but they really lack grip.

I actually just searched for “SlipperySuit” and almost went down a rabbit hole! Yes, they absolutely lack grip, but I can deal with that.

Used to be one of my favorite cases before I became obsessed with leather cases. And, they’re not that expensive either.
I love the Apple leather case. I’d go as far as saying that it’s the best case I’ve ever used. However, since I’ve been working from home less and less, I need something that offers a bit more protection and, at the same time, is not too bulky.

A quick update - I received the Solidsuit today and swapped out the Apple leather case I’ve been using since getting the 13 Pro. As in the past, the fit is perfect. Although this case has slightly more girth that the Apple leather case, it’s nowhere nearly as large as some of the competition. I think I’ll end my search for the perfect slim case that can withstand an impact, because I don’t think that there’s anything out there that checks more boxes for me than the Solidsuit. I will, however, miss those awesome metal buttons on the Apple leather case. Nothing comes close to their tactility.

I had a solidsuit for my 6S and it was a great case although it was very tight and was hard to get on and off. I got rid of it when it started peeling but they offered to replace it if I paid for shipping. I've been using an Apple leather case for my iPhones since then..

It is, indeed, very hard to remove. I don’t swap cases very often, so I can live with that. The Apple leather cases are excellent, but I was always questioning how well it would protect my phone if I dropped it.

The open bottom design was an odd choice for Apple for sure and I worry about a direct drop on that area. If it was a completely closed case it would the ideal case to use as I love every other design aspect.

The open bottom was always a dealbreaker for me, when it came to Apple cases. Thankfully, they got rid of that aesthetic when the 12 series came out.
