I have a 2011 13" MBP that seems to have a very interesting issue where the right channel of my headphones seems quieter then the left. I'm using a pair of EarPods and I assumed it was them until I opened a new pair of EarPods that were doing the same thing. I plugged them into my iPhone and it had no problem.

Any ideas regarding what I should try? I have already done an SMC and PRAM reset along with a permissions repair and nothing has fixed it. I'm about read to just reinstall the OS and see if that does anything but it seems like it might be more hardware then software related.

Go into your preferences pans, and select "Sound." Then go to the "output" tab and check the balance to see if it's off or needs to be adjusted.

This might sound too simplistic, but...

EDIT: Beaten by seconds.

Wow I am an idiot. That fixed it and I didn't even think about that! I never changed it, maybe one of the 10.10.3 betas did something.

Thank you both!
