right speaker replacement

my right speaker in my 2006 macbook pro is blown. bought a pair of speakers, used but guaranteed. now my left speaker sounds perfect and after seeing what is involved in replacing both it seems it would be much easier to just replace the bad one on the right side. is there any reason that i should replace both, are they a matched set.

yes they are a matched set that's what apples service guide states they come in pairs and are calibrated by the manufacturer.
I would advise getting a pair.

well matched or not i went ahead and removed both. the right one is completely shot. the outer cone is gone, no wonder it did work. the left might last be mine as well but in both seeing as ill have them. to bad they dont make a upgrade for them.
