riMac and DaVinci Resolve

I was wondering if anyone has used Resolve on the new rIMac? I am in desperate need of a new computer as my 2010 MBP is on its last legs. Whilst it is obvious not the optimal set up for Resolve, I have a full time editing and color gig, so it would only be used for the odd freelance job for fashion films and web work. The 295X seems like it should have the power to run resolve decently, I just worry about the memory getting full if I have to do a more complicated grade. I would really like to hold of on buying a Mac Pro for about another year, so if anyone has any insight into this that would be great.
