riMac BTO delivery to local Apple store ?

local Apple store cannot take an order for i7 upgrade and I don't want 5k not waiting for me at the door step.

Do other ppl order BTO online and have it delivered to local store ??

You can choose to presign and have it waiting for you, if you wanna take the risk.

I would assume delivery to be faster to an Apple Store, but it wasn't the case when I was placing the order so I decided to just have it delivered to me. Let us know if it actually is faster though.

I am glad to go to the store to pick it up. Just need to find a way to BTO.

That's how I ordered mine. Should be at the local store this week. With my schedule of late, it was the safest way to get and, more importantly, avoid any domestic tension if my wife happened to accidentally drop the box bringing it inside. It's a win-win in this house.

I ordered the the BTO the first day and told UPS I would pick it up at the depot (which I did). Picked it up at will call last Friday.
