Looks like the Ring DoorBell Pro & Spotlight Cam just received Homekit certification.

You can search for certified mfi or Homekit devices from https://mfi.apple.com/MFiWeb/getAPS

It also looks like the August Doorbell Pro received certification too.

I've been using the August lock in HomeKit since I got it... expected their doorbell camera to be HK compatible... hopefully, the Ring will be retro-fitted with HK compatibility....

I hope the whole Ring lineup gets HK support. I have a doorbell pro and a flood light cam, which is not on the certification list. The alarm system looks pretty decent too. Would try the Honeywell but heard it’s a PITA.

Could’ve sworn I read somewhere that August said recently that they had no interest in making their Doorbell cam HK compatible.

This would be outstanding since I just gave up waiting for a HomeKit compatible doorbell and got the Ring Pro. It works well, would be even better if it worked with everything else inside of HomeKit though.

OMG I can't believe it. I refuse. It has been too long. I especially want it for my Alarm so I can say "Hey Siri, arm the system" or something.

I mostly like the Ring Alarm, but have recently been growing disenchanted. I got it for Christmas and already have the Doorbell and Floodlight cams, which work well and keep getting better. Then a few weeks ago we had a false alarm. For some reason our basement motion sensor was tripped and I remotely let the police into my house using my smart door lock because we were out of town. I don't set the house to "Home and Away" very often, usually just when we're traveling or going to be gone most of the day on the weekend because my wife works at home, and the rest of the time it's "Home and Armed" at night, which doesn't use the motion sensors. I checked the basement and nothing had fallen over or off the walls or anything. We have a walkout basement and the Floodlight Cam can see the whole back part of the house and it was all in shade around 8:30am on a Saturday. No light coming in, no movement, and the motion sensors point away from the windows so they can see people coming in through the windows, but can't see out of them since they're in the corner viewing parallel with the windows.

Anyway, so that has me a bit concerned. It was really scary to get that call and meet the police on the Doorbell cam. I'm worried I'm going to have another false alarm if I set it again because I've probably only set the motion sensors active via "Home and Away" maybe a half dozen or so times and it has already had one false alarm. My wife said she saw a fly in the basement before we left, so I'm not sure if that can trigger it. I need to call Ring sometime and talk about that and see if I maybe have a faulty sensor and ask if a fly can really trigger the sensor. Part of our basement is a daycare that my wife runs so with the kids going in and out to play several times a day, we do get the occasional fly in the house. And while I doubt a fly in the air would trigger it, one that landed on it and started walking on it might.

The other annoying thing is that they honestly don't even let you set a schedule for "Home and Armed" in the evening. I have to set a reminder on my phone for every day at 9pm to arm it, and another one for every morning at 7am to disarm it. It's ridiculous. I thought it was supposed to be smart? It also doesn't really let you connect the sensors to anything else, which is why HomeKit support would be huge.
