Ring tones and text tones

Every few days the ring tones and text tones on my phone go weird. They start to sound like the speaker is dying. So far, restarting the phone has fixed the issue. That makes the issue sound like software to me but the phone isn't having any other issues. Has anyone had this issue?

What phone are you using? I don't have an answer for you but I remember something like this happening on a 5s I had years ago. I eventually just restored and set up as new.

I am using a 6s plus. It was set up as new when I got it.

Worth a shot? Otherwise it's a matter of taking it to Apple I would think.

This happens on my husbands 6s.

Well I took it to apple and it passed all the hardware tests so we reset the settings to see if that helps. If not, I'll do a restore...and if that doesn't work I'll start from scratch.

Meant to respond yesterday.

Weird audio happened to my 5c every once in a while. I had to restart every time and that fixed it.
