ring tones for iphone3g with itunes 7.7.1.11

hi guys....

Is there a way to make ringtones for the lastest itune version ? most of the posts and videos available on the net are for itunes 7.4 ?

is it possible to get an older version of itunes so that i could make some ring tones ?

I dont want to jailbreak yet ....
