I've noticed a problem with my iPhone 4 since I started using a Sena Ultraslim leather case. Because it is tight the case often causes the volume buttons to be depressed.

When the phone rings it will often ring once and then go silent which I'm assuming is because the volume button is being pressed by the case. This isn't so much of a problem.

The problem is that often this will cause the iPhone ringer volume to go to zero whilst the phone is locked so next time the phone rings I won't hear it.

I was under the impression that the iPhone ringer volume couldn't be permanently changed whilst the phone is locked - only temporarily silenced by pressing a volume button or the lock button.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution?

Thanks

(sorry if this has been discussed. A couple of searches did not produce anything)

I just tried mine and was unable to adjust the volume when the phone is locked.
