Ringtone Help

I claim ignorance and hope you guys will pity me. I have an Iphone 4 and really want a stupid ringtone, something I have never done, for certain people.

I have several WAV. files and they will play in Itunes but when I send them over to Iphone it wont play. Can anyone help or am I SOL? Is there some place I can download friendly ring tones?

I sent the WAV file to Itunes. Itunes will play it but when i send it to the phone it wont play. Suggestions?

Convert it to an AAC file, right click & it's an option. Find it in the music folder and change the extent ion to .m4r
