I'm trying to use a ringtone that is 42 seconds long. I've created the .m4r version of the tone and imported it into iTunes. It appears in the "Tones" section and plays fine. Come time to sync, the "sync all tones" option is selected however only this ringtone does not get synced. All other tones do.

I've heard ringtones have to be 30 seconds or less, but I have 3 other ringtones that exceed 30 seconds that sync to the phone and work fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The time limit for ringtones = 40 seconds.

The reason why that 42 second long .m4r doesn't sync is because it's over the limit by 2 seconds.

Make it 39/40 seconds and it should sync correctly.

That explains it then, thanks!
