Ringtones Folder

I have a new 3g Iphone. Before I can try any of the create custom ring tones methods listed here I need to have a ringtones folder in Itunes. It is not there. I have tried manually creating it in a number of locations suggested by some of the posts here.

I am on a MacPro
Itunes 7.7
And i believe the version of iphone is 2.0 firmware is 1.45
Oh btw I am in Canada and my provider is Rogers

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
