Ringtones in iTunes 7.4.1.2 + iPhone Firmware Update 1.1.1... gone?

When I heard of the iPhone update, I quickly ran to the computer to update. I took the phone off the dock and started playing with the new features:

a home double click...
improved speaker...
ability to turn off gprs when roaming...
a space bar double click..
integrated symbols...
iTunes...
and sms tones?

a great upload... untill I got a call.

instead of the usual "never knew" by the rocket summer,
i heard... MARIMBA.

I rushed to the sounds menu and... everything was gone.

I replugged the phone to the computer and resynced and iTunes appeared to have put the tones on my phone and is set to put all of them on so, i took it off the dock and...

they're still GONE.




any fixes or are free ringtones doomed for eternity?

Oddly enough, Both iTunes and my iPhone see my ringtones, but the iPhone can't seem to play them. If I select one of my ringtones, I hear silence.
