Currently on a weekly basis I rip, compress, and upload MP3s to a webserver for a podcast. I currently use Windows Media Player to rip them to .mp3s and use Winamp with the LAME encoder to compress it. How can I do this on a mac, preferably for free.

iTunes.

I do something similar and just use MP3 encoding at 32Kbps Stereo, and it works well. I take a 3 hour 80MB show and it becomes 20MB.

I've been trying to upload songs I've written to myspace. I've come to the conclusion that maybe I need to use something like Max also, but wasn't sure. Will Max work for what I'm trying to do?
