Rip DVD to hard drive on MacBook

How do I copy a DVD to my hard drive so it can be uploaded to my website? I have legal rights to the DVD content. It's a 2-year old MacBook, running Tiger (I know, I'm behind the times).

Is there decent free or shareware that does this?

best tool is handbrake and you will also need VLC for the dvd decryption part that handbrake doesn't come with.

It's as simple as installing both and running handbrake.
