RIP Philip Madoc - Terrific Welsh Actor
Just saw that Philip Madoc - one of those superb, elegant, subtle, erudite incredibly gifted character actors so often produced by British theatre has died.
He was brilliant when he played David Lloyd George in the excellent TV series 'The Life and Times of David Lloyd George', but also - among many other roles - played roles in Dr Who, and had an iconic role as a U-Boat commander in a classic episode of Dad's Army.
