Looks like Apple is continuing to phase out space gray as it’s now gone completely from the MacBook line up. Odd that it’s still in the iPad Air line up, the lone hold out.

Ugh!! Space gray was always my choice of color...it just seemed like a great middle ground between standard / basic silver & midnight.
Wonder what Space Grey people will choose now.... I'm guessing Silver
I hope if someone is space grey they'll choose a doctor!
I was hoping for space black. I went with silver, but I would have liked to have had that choice to make.
Although... On my silver M1 there is a noticeable "imperfection" where my palm sometimes rests on the edge of the wedge. I have to imagine that if this was some other colour than silver this would be more noticeable, and I'm not super keen on that.
For those with non-silver, do you have this issue?
It's plagued the world since 2013 with its dull nothingness.

At least we can choose from one of these lovely colors - baby Sky Blue, boring Silver, posh Starlight or ugly Midnight blue… 🤦♂️

I'm Space Grayed out, so I'm fine with it. Bummer for those who still preferred it.
RIP, until, of course, Apple brings it back. They almost surely will at some point.

It's probably not coming back. Apple must have had sales numbers on that particular finish & saw they weren't as strong as the others.
My MBA is Space Gray because it and Midnight were both the colors that were $200 off when I was looking to buy and of the two, SG felt like the lesser evil. 😁 If Starlight had been that price I'd have gone with it, but it was like $80 more.

Yes, there are the colors I see the most as well.
I'm actually curious how the sales numbers are for Starlight, I'm not sure if I've actually seen a large amount of those in the wild, but it seems like that is going to be a long term color.
Apple didn't maintain consistency with 50 shades of space grey. Nearly every space grey release was slightly different than the rest. I would almost prefer a plastic case so we can have clean white MacBooks again...
I’m sure that in a few product cycles some form of gray will come back.
Apple has always been odd with Space Gray. I remember that there was a Space Gray for the iPhone 5 that was basically just a dark blue.
I had a Space Gray MacBook for many years, and then suddenly, I realized that it’s actually quite a depressing color. Everything is gray and gloomy. Then I bought a Silver MacBook, and it felt wonderfully fresh and cheerful—it always puts me in a good mood when I use it. Midnight is also a dark color, but it’s not as depressing as Gray.
The colours on the iMac are also unfathomable, what are they thinking? I have space grey (and black, or silver) for all my previous Apple products, yet they dropped gray and leave me only with silver as what I would pick. One of the other colors is blue which is what is on display in most retailers, maybe I would consider that, for about 5 minutes.
The other iMac colours are purple, pink, orange, yellow, green. Hard to imagine how they would sell any of those in bigger numbers than space grey.
