Is it possible to rip blockbuster purchases with HandBrake? I'm guessing rental companies make it impossible to rip their dvd's, but has anyone tried them after purchase? They had some used videos that I bought, and I want to know if I can rip them.

There is no difference between the DVDs you buy in the Store and those you buy/rent anywhere. With Tapes, they had special "Rental" versions that came out weeks before they were available to the consumer (and cost $100+ each). However, Blockbuster demanded the same thing for DVDs (only with triple the lead time) and the studios told them to get bent, by waiting a few more weeks for release, releasing to PPV systems earlier, and setting the price of DVD's between $9.99 and $24.99 (when new consumer VHS had been between $20 and $40).
