Ripping Blu Rays? - Plex/iTunes

Not sure if im pissing in the wind.

Just bought a Mac Mini to use as a HTPC... About to install Plex and then get the IOS app for iPad & iPhone.

Can i rip all of my blu rays to my mac?

If so will they still all be in Full HD 1080P Blu Ray quality. If yes again roughly what is each file size? - Ive currently got some digital download versions that come in the triple play boxes but quality is Awful!

Obviously is the answer is yes to all the above i assume i just need a USB Blu Ray writer (not reader?) - Anybody link to any in the UK compatible with a Mac?

What software do i need to rip them also? - And then do i need to convert them into any particular format for Plex/iTunes?

Yes buy a blu ray drive (reader or writer?)
Insert Blu Ray
Turn on Handbrake - Press Rip lol

Is it not that simple?

Buy Blu Ray player, open MakeMKV and do the deed, though it is not as easy as HandBrake.

So does handbrake work also? - not that i have used either!
